Macomb County Intergroup Association

Alcohol Awareness Initiative
includes Back to Basics program.

The Macomb County Intergroup Association of Macomb County, Michigan has initiated a "Bridge the Gap" program for the drug courts and correctional facilities in the area.  The objective of the Initiative is to familiarize those who are "Court ordered" with the A.A. program of recovery.

The program, which is called the Alcohol Awareness Initiative, includes  Back to Basics.  Attendees take all Twelve Steps in four two-hour sessions, before they ever attend a "regular" meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous.  For a copy of the letter that the General Manager of the Macomb County Intergroup Association wrote to the drug courts and correctional facilities, CLICK HERE
